Traders Across the Country Protest Amazon

In light of some terrifying incidents in the country’s e-commerce business in the recent past, US giant Amazon has facilitated the illegal sale of marijuana through its portal and banned chemicals used in bomb-making. And now the country has been shocked by the incident involving the sale of poison through Amazon’s e-commerce portal. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) vigorously protested such Amazon activities on Wednesday in more than 1,200 cities in more than 500 districts of several states of the country.

The protesters demonstrated the anger and resentment of the trading community by holding dharna and demonstrations and warned Amazon to either make their business model according to the law and regulations, or else prepare to tie their bag from India. Now the violation of laws and regulations in e-commerce matters will not be tolerated, CAIT said, adding that if concrete action is not taken immediately in this matter, the country’s merchants will organize — ‘Bharat Vyapar Bandh’ to raise their vote. The CAIT also said Amazon’s love & affection for the sale of marijuana is evidenced by the fact that it has asked the US government to legalize the sale of marijuana.

CAIT has demanded that the business model of Amazon and other e-commerce companies be examined on a time-limited basis. As with Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug case, Amazon officials should also be similarly arrested and a sedition case filed against Amazon for facilitating the sale of chemicals in the Pulwama attack.

CAIT has also said that as this issue has taken on an interstate form, the Union government should dispatch its agencies to investigate the matter within a time-limited period and the culprits should be punished according to the law and until then Amazon’s operations portal should be suspended.

CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that according to information received on Tuesday, a person in Madhya Pradesh city of Indore has filed a complaint against Amazon with the Indore Collector in MP, stating that his son has three months ago had ordered poison from Amazon that was made available, he committed suicide.

Before that, the MP Police seized 21 kg and 17 kg of marijuana through two different operations, while on the information of the MP Police, Vishakhapatnam Police also seized 48 kg of marijuana facilitated by a sale through the Amazon portal . It is very surprising that in 2019, through Amazon’s portal, the sale of the chemical of the bombs used in the Pulwama terror attack, including the banned chemical, was also facilitated through Amazon’s e-commerce portal, but until now to date, no action has been taken against Amazon officials, CAIT said.

Bhartia and Khandelwal said that illegal activities are happening on such a large scale, but so far everyone is sleeping, which poses a big question about the functioning of the governments and the administrative system. It seems that for the powerful and the big corporations the rules are different and for the common people the law is different. These companies have some sort of protection against the political fraternity.

Bhartia and Khandelwal said these incidents are not new as the CAIT and others have been filing complaints against the misdeeds of major e-commerce companies since 2016, but no concrete action has been taken so far. It is deeply regrettable that this sensitive issue has been in the headlines since last week, but no statement has been made from the central government or the state governments except the government of Madhya Pradesh, although the retail sector is under the domain of the state governments.

There is immense anger and resentment among the country’s traders over this discrimination and if the government does not act now and action is not taken quickly, the traders’ traders will be forced to instigate a nationwide movement, CAIT said .

Why do tires deflate in cold weather?

Why do tires deflate in cold weather?

It has happened to many of us. As soon as you start the engine, the “low tire pressure” light will come on. But have you ever noticed that it happens more in the winter?

As the temperature drops, especially with arctic air, the pressure in the tire decreases. About 1-2 PSI per 10 degree drop. PSI stands for pounds per square inch. As the temperature outside gets warmer, you have more pressure on your tires.

When it comes to cold weather, individual gas molecules in the enclosed tired can have less energy at lower temperatures. Less energy means that the molecules move less. This means less pressure on the tire walls. The tire may therefore deflate slightly.

The opposite is true at warmer temperatures. There is more energy in the gas molecules. They move freely and exert pressure on the walls of the tire.

Knowing this, it’s no surprise that you may have noticed the low air pressure light in your car in this latest arctic air outbreak. It doesn’t always mean you need more air, just that your tires may need to be checked.

Here are some more winter tips that might help you: If your locks are frozen, cover your key with a little hand sanitizer, the alcohol will help melt the ice in the lock. Keep cat litter in your trunk. It can be used as traction for your tires if you get stuck. Putting some kitty litter in a pair of socks and leaving it in your car can help absorb the moisture in the air that can fog up your windows. Speaking of fog, a great way to get rid of it is to use a chalkboard eraser. Also, do not leave liquids in your car overnight. It can aid in the development of fog.

We must not forget the winter survival kit. No matter how new or running well your car is, you can still get stuck. Provide batteries and a flashlight, cell phone charger, blankets, water, and non-perishable snacks. If you are traveling in the winter, it is best to let someone know where you are going and how long it will take to get there. Sometimes friendly phone tracking apps can also provide peace of mind.
