India v New Zealand - T20 International

Saurashtra will face Haryana on Thursday, December 9 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh.

Saurashtra, led by Jaydev Unadkat, have made an impressive start to their campaign in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. After batting first, Saurashtra was bowled out for 223 in 47.3 overs. Lead-off hitter Harvik Desai scored their highest score with an 89-ball 52, tied with seven fours.

Samarth Vyas, DA Jadeja and skipper Unadkat also did their best with scores in the 1930s. Then Chirag Jani took five wicket away and helped Saurashtra clear Uttar Pradesh for 191. UP’s Rinku Singh scored half a century as he batted at number 6, but his efforts were in vain.

Haryana, led by Harshal Patel, on the other hand, didn’t exactly make the best start to the tournament. On Wednesday, December 8, Hyderabad defeated them by five wickets. Haryana was thrown out for 162 in 39.2 overs after being sent off first.

With the exception of Yashu Sharma, who made 68 of 70, none of the other batters looked comfortable. Yuzvendra Chahal was good for three scalps, but Hyderabad chased the target in 41 overs. Skipper Patel and Mohit Sharma also bowl economically.

Kandy Warriors post 166/5 after 14 overs, lose the match by 14 runs

181 is a tough target to chase in 20 overs. And Kandy Warriors had to complete the task in just 14 overs. Looking back they will be proud of their effort as they were down by just 14 runs.

Jaffna Kings took the gamble by bowling the four overs in the power play of spinners Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga. However, the plan backfired when Charith Asalanka filled in the gaps and the scoreboard read 45/0.

Striking with a pace of over 200, he was fired in the seventh over. But the problems for Jaffna Kings only got worse when Rovman Powell came into the picture.

The West Indian hit the second fastest fifty in LPL history before receiving a standing ovation from the opponents for playing a monstrous innings. Kandy Warriors was ahead of the worm with three overs to go, but from then on, fate changed.

A brilliant bowling game by Suranga Lakmal on one side limited the flow of runs as Jayden Seales scalped two wickets in the penultimate left to put the game out of reach.

With 23 required from 6 deliveries and two new batsmen on the crease, Angelo Perera outran himself trying to complete a quick double, while Tillakaratne Sampath could only muster a single limit in the final over. With this loss, Kandy Warriors’ quest for their first win in LPL 2021 continues.

Eat Here: The 100 Best Restaurants in Denver We Can't Live Without

When indoor dining was discontinued not once, but twice in 2020, we had a lot of time to think about what we liked and missed about restaurants. Our list was long. Even when they couldn’t welcome us into dining rooms, restaurant owners and hospitality workers rose to do what they do best: provide tranquility in the often challenging world we find ourselves in, a transporting bite, provide a smile (even if it was hidden behind a mask) and a reminder that a love of good food is something we can all share.

Until 2021, restaurants continued to adapt to changing rules and conditions. While some closed for good, others learned new tricks, and more eateries joined in.

For the past year, tables both indoors and out on those custom patios have been buzzing with conversation, a reminder that sharing a meal at an old favorite or trying a new place is much more than just what’s on the menu. I’ve gotten through the past twelve months with Mexican burgers delivered by La Fogata, trays of oysters shared with friends at Fish N Beer and regular trips to Misfit Snack Bar to sample what Chef Bo Portyko decided to add to the menu that week – a adventure that never disappoints. When I got the job as westwordBack in May, Food and Erink’s new editor, I went to my old go-to, Sam’s No. 3, to celebrate with a small group over chili cheese cookies. I joined friends at Brasserie Brixton when life got stressful and spent an evening drinking Aperol spritzes and eating pizza at Bar Dough for no reason at all.

Each meal reminded us that dining out is about connection, comfort and community, and that’s exactly what you’ll find in these 100 metro Denver restaurants we can’t live without.

Read the full list.

Enjoy your meal!
