5 Best Amazon Thanksgiving Deals, According to a Shopping Editor

Each product we offer is independently selected and reviewed by our editorial team. If you make a purchase through the links provided, we may earn commission.

Black Friday technically starts tomorrow, but thanks to Amazon’s first-ever 48-hour Black Friday event, the retailer has already gone down thousands of (really good) deals. That means you can do all your shopping today if you wish, as products in all categories, from beauty to home to fashion, are massively discounted. You’ll find some of the best deals ever on major brands like Apple, Levi’s and Bose, and a handful rare discounts from premium beauty brands that don’t often go on sale like Mario Badescu, OPI, Redken and Avène.

I’m taking advantage of Amazon’s Thanksgiving discounts myself because some of these deals may not even be available tomorrow — and I’m not missing out in any way cozy fleece leggings from one of my favorite brands and Smith & Cult nail polish for less.

I bought a few Baleaf’s popular leggings last year and liked them so much that I immediately bought another one. I’ve lived there practically all winter, and I’m definitely taking advantage of this Prime exclusive membership deal to get one of the are newer pairs. This pair is relatively similar based on reviews – they’re thick but breathable, have pockets and, most importantly, keep you warm on even the coldest days. I like that this option has a drawstring and somehow looks even slimmer than the original. Trust me and add two pairs of fleece-lined leggings from Baleaf to your cart right away – you’ll thank me later.

Smith & Cult nail polish is on sale. I repeat, Smith & Cult nail polish is on sale! This brand’s luxury nail polish is rarely discounted, so I’m definitely excited to add a few bottles to my cart. There are several deals available but I’m thinking of going with it Powder Posse, a beautiful, light purple color that goes with everything. i’m watching too Darjeeling baby, a dark forest green, and Palace in Wonderland, a bright metallic pink. (This would also be a super fun choice for stocking stuffers.)

Buxom is known for its iconic lip balm loved by thousands of people, so I can’t resist trying the full-bodied lipstick for just $14. It’s made with hyaluronic acid and customers say it has a “mild” plumping effect that makes lips look “moisturized” and not dehydrate, and that’s what I’m looking for. I hope the red Baller shade is good enough to be my holiday lipstick this year.

Crest’s whitening collection is quite pricey, so I’m always tempted to buy one of the whitening kits when it goes on sale. This on-the-go kit includes the brand’s new moisturizing whitening gel and a stick applicator, which you apply to your teeth for a minute without rinsing. Crest says you’ll experience “virtually no sensitivity,” so you can use it up to four times a day, and reviewers seem to agree that it works as advertised.

A customer wrote:: “I’ve tried almost every whitening tool/trick and nothing worked. Very easy to apply and it has a minty taste. I only did my upper teeth to try it out to see the difference and wow! [three] days (using [four] times a day) I noticed a HUGE difference. I am surprised.”

Australia vs England 1st Day of Testing 2 Live Scores

Ashes, Australia – England live scores© AFP

Australia vs England, Ashes 1st day of testing 2 Live:After Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc raced through the England batting lineup, knocking them out on Day 1 for a paltry 147 in just 50.1 overs, all eyes will be on David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith on Day 2 in Brisbane. Can the Australian batters drive home the advantage and beat England in the first Test game? Chris Woakes, Ollie Robinson and Ben Stokes will probably have different ideas. They would hope the Gabba field comes to their rescue, just as it did when Australia was bowling. England must strike early on the second day and not allow Australia to start. After the final session of Day 1 was washed away by rain, both teams hoped for clear weather to get things started. (FULL SCORED CARD)

The Wheel of Time book up

As we expected, the first The wheel of time book has risen on Amazon’s best-selling list. Here’s a full look at the list from November 28 to December 4.

When the Amazon series The wheel of time premiered, we expected the books to make it onto Amazon’s best-selling list. The first book came in before the series premiered, but it was on the low end. Now that the series is in full swing, Robert Jordan’s first book tops the list.

The eye of the world by Robert Jordan took three places this week to get into the Top 3. He’s not quite at the top of the list, but he is in second place.

Outlander Book 9 up, Mercy down

There was a lot of movement on the Amazon bestselling book list. One of the most notable movers is Go tell the bees I’m gone by Diana Gabaldon. Unsurprisingly, the book moved up six places to take over the top spot on the list. The book also took first place on the list of most read books of the week.

The whole Top 3 has actually changed. The Throne of glass collection by Sarah J. Maas finished in third place. All eight books put together make an excellent Christmas present, so it’s no surprise it’s so high on the list now.

It did mean Dune by Frank Herbert was knocked out of the Top 3 for the first time in ages. It lost three places and dropped to fourth place.

However, that was not the biggest loss. The dark hours by Michael Connelly and Apples never fall of Liane Moriarty lost nine places each. However, Grace by David Baldacci lost the most places. It dropped to 19th place after losing 17 spots.
